No School Tuesday, January 7 Galesburg School District has postponed the Teachers' Institute previously scheduled for Monday, January 6, due to inclement weather. The Institute will instead be held on Tuesday, January 7, and students will return to classes on Wednesday, January 8.
As part of the No Child Left Behind Supplemental Education Services provision, students attending Nielson Elementary, Cooke Elementary, King Elementary, and Steele Elementary and who qualify for the Free/Reduced Lunch Program can receive free tutoring.
District #205 offers two enrollment windows: Window #1 from Sept. 30 – Oct. 11, 2013 Window #2 from Dec. 20, 2013 – Jan. 21, 2014 For more information contact the Office of Curriculum and Instruction at 309-973-2013. Galesburg CUSD #205 schools will dismiss 55 minute early on September 9 & 10 due to expected heat conditions. Schools were already scheduled to release 55 minutes early on September 11 & 12 for after school meetings. Please refer to the schedule below for specific details.
Regular Full-day schedules are planned at all District #205 schools after Labor Day, starting Tuesday, September 03, 2013.
Due to excessive heat, school dismisses one hour and 55 minutes early during the week of August 26-30, 2013.
School starts Thursday, August 15! During August, Nielson School holds classes between 8:45 and 2:20. Starting in September, Nielson will dismiss at its regular time, 3:15 pm.
Nielson School is closed for the summer. Information requests may not be processed until staff return. We look forward to seeing students when school resumes August 15, 2013!
